About Us

With more than 20 years design and manufacturing experience, Vital Spark Creative has delivered innovative solutions for organisations large and small across public and private sectors, managing the process end to end.

Based in Cornwall, we work with clients all over the world, face to face or remotely, to collaborate on designs. From research to design, 3D CAD Engineering to 3D Printing, packaging to manufacturing, we will take your idea from concept to creation as simply and cost effectively as possible.

Fresh air helps us think! Our team draws inspiration from getting out an about in Cornwall when designing products.  Whether surfing before work or a beach trip after, we believe that our designers benefit from our location and our work life balance – delivering better outputs for our clients in the process.

Our Team

Vital Spark Creative is a close-knit team of designers, each bringing a unique area of expertise and focus. Although we are all product designers, it is our individual areas of excellence that allow us to provide a broad but complete range of services.

Chris Booker

Vital Spark Creative is headed up by owner and Managing Director, Chris Booker. With over twenty years industrial design experience, Chris has worked for both design consultancies and world-renowned brands, bringing hundreds of successful products to market. Chris loves solving complex design challenges and thinking around problems. He is a people person who is committed to building long-term business relationships with his clients. Since founding Vital Spark Creative in 2011 he has grown the business from a one-man team to the thriving studio it is today.

Tom Pidden

Tom Joined Vital Spark Creative in 2017. A Product Design Engineer graduate from The University of Nottingham, he came with design and manufacture experience having previously worked for a London based, bespoke design agency. As a keen waterman Vital Spark Creative’s location was very attractive, and he spends mornings and evenings enjoying all Cornwall’s coast has to offer.

Tom thrives on product engineering challenges, from hinges and latches, to gears and actuators, it is the technical side of design that gets the best out of him. He also has plenty of hands-on workshop experience and loves assembling and testing prototypes.

ELLE BOOKER

Elle is our bookkeeper.  She keeps the office admin in order, works on our social media and will be the cheery voice on the end of the phone answering your call.
